Intel is using drone technology and artificial intelligence in the framework of two successful wildlife research projects to measure the health of the oceans and the Arctic.

For the first project, Intel used their Falcon 8 drone system to study the habits of polar bears, and the second one, Project SnotBot, carried out in collaboration with Parley for the Oceans and Ocean Alliance, gathers whale snot samples with artificial intelligence.

Both projects monitor the health of the animals, which are in turn indicators for the health of the ecosystems they inhabit.
