The Energy Commission of Malaysia has recently called for bids for projects amounting to a solar power capacity of 460 megawatts. With this being a sizable percentage of Malaysia’s capacity, power generated at the facilities investing developers will build is going to be sold to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd. (SESB). Bidding will start soon as the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) of Malaysia wants to grow the share of renewable energy in the country by 24 percent by 2050.
