Microbes save subsiding foundations of buildings

Researchers in the United Kingdom are generating microbes that might be able support a building’s subsiding foundation. Additionally, a computer program is developed to help estimate the forces under a building’s foundation and how the microbe will react to them. The project follows a broader movement aiming at incorporating biology into architecture.
