MIT rewards innovative solutions with over $1 million

The MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy (IDE) has launched the second installation of their Inclusive Innovation Challenge (IIC). The ICC aims to reward and facilitate technology-driven solutions to create a more equitable economy. “People are falling behind because technology is advancing so fast and our skills and organizations aren’t keeping up,” says Erik Brynjolfsson, Director of the MIT IDE. Solutions to the problem are awarded in 5 categories with a total prize pool of over $1 million.

The deadline for registration is June 7th 2017, and for submission it is June 21st. The challenge is funded with the support of The Rockefeller Foundation, The Joyce Foundation, Joseph Eastin, ISN, and Google.org. It will conclude in the framework of the HUBweek in Boston on October 12th later this year.
