Several places in China, Singapore and Japan have installed the air pollution monitor PX-375 by Horiba. Manual lab analysis is not necessary with this device anymore as it measures and analysis particles in the air automatically and continuously. It helps to track the origin of the pollutants, whether they are caused by forest firest, vehicles emissions or by slash-and-burn agriculture. Further the device allows governments to act in time when pollution levels are climbing as high that the population is affected by respiratory infections.
