Automaker Nissan unveiled a new version of its electric van e-NV200 that has a significantly increased range. The longer-range iteration can travel a distance 60 percent greater before needing to be charged.

The van comes with a 40 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery-pack, and an NEDC range-rating of up to 280 kilometers. Surprisingly, the new battery pack has the same physical size as the previous inferior one.

The new e-NV200 will hit the market at the end of this year, but only in Europe for the time being.
