Qualcomm Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Inc. recently demonstrated dynamic electric vehicle charging (DEVC). Exploiting Qualcomm Halo wireless electric vehicle charging technology (WEVC), Qualcomm has designed and built a wireless charging system to charge an EV at up to 20kW cruising at the speeds of 100 kmph. Simultaneous charging was also demonstrated where two vehicles on the same track can charge dynamically at the same time. This demonstration took place at the 100-meter FABRIC (FeAsiBility analysis and development of on-Road chargIng solutions for future electriC vehicles) test track. VEDECOM also participated in the project and the test track was developed by VEDECOM at Satory Versailles.
