Scania is introducing its new Euro 6 V6 engine, that is more fuel-efficient and is also a response to a trend of heavier and longer trucks. Trucks with engines ranging from 520, 580 and 650 horsepower are available. The new engines stand out to their advanced technical solutions that contribute to reduced weight, increased availability, and the 7-10% reduction in fuel consumption. The 16.4-liter cylinder block weighs 80 kg less than the preceding model and the exhaust gas circulation unit has been removed, allowing a higher load-carrying capacity.
