Nevada-based startup Havelock Wool is taking the environmental and health advantages of sustainable sheep’s wool and puts them to use for building insulation. The wool comes from regularly shorn, free-roaming sheep in New Zealand and can be used for either new construction or retrofitting of existing homes and businesses.
As it is an all-natural fiber, it can be installed without protective clothing as the risk for respiratory or other health dangers associated with other types of insulation is eliminated.
