Parks Associates released a smart home market forecast in the framework of their 21st annual Connections: The Premier Connected Home Conference. According to the company, American customers will purchase over 2.3 billion connected devices between 2015 and 2020. As consumers “are showing strong preferences for voice as the interface for their devices,” according to Elizabeth Parks, senior VP, personal assistant devices such as Amazon Alexa and Google Home are growing the fastest, with an annual increase of 78.3 percent in the same time frame.
