Toyota invests in the SkyDrive Cartivator VTOL

Toyota has invested around $375,000 in an intriguing vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) vehicle, SkyDrive Cartivator VTOL. With an aim to show that flying cars are a reality, this project is aiming for Tokyo 2020. The SkyDrive also wants to show that the flying cars can take off from anywhere and doesn’t have to be big either. This VTOL uses a four propeller set design to get 2.9 meter by 1.3 meter VTOL in the air, making it to be the world’s smallest flying car. The VTOL is expected to have a top flight speed of 100kmph at 10 meters high and its land top speed is expected to be higher at 150 kmph.
