SM!GHT (smart.city.light) is an innovative technology, which was developed by Karlsruhe-based energy group Energie Baden-Württemberg AG (EnBW).
Vision:
The intelligent city of tomorrow is sustainable, connected and convenient at the same time. Thus, SM!GHT uses public streetlights to provide city centers with free public Wi-Fi, charging stations or environmental sensors. SM!GHT stands both for individual products and complete infrastructure solutions. With this dual approach, EnBW accompanies its costumers along the way to a connected smart city.
Products:
The product family of SM!GHT offers a huge variety of tailor-made solutions responding to the needs of a urban community.
Lighting: Standard connections for lamps allow the attachment of up to three lights from all major manufacturers.
Public Wi-Fi: Free and mobile internet can be part of a newly installed lamppost. At the same time, our aftermarket solutions will also work with the existing street lighting.
Environmental Sensors: Modern measuring devices are available in order to control air quality and noise exposure.
Safety: In case of emergency, pressing a panic button would connect you to a permanently staffed emergency center.
E-Mobility: An integrated charging station makes possible fast and convenient recharging of electric vehicles.
Traffic Management: An integrated camera monitors the traffic volume. The collected data provides the basis for a contemporary city development planning and can support an urban parking management system. The software package SM!GHT IQ ensures the safe transmission and the comprehensible presentation of the data.
Choice:
The SM!GHT lampposts are available in several designs. The taller version has a length of six meters and is available for 9,500 Euros. The smaller version measures 4.50 meters and costs 8,500 Euros. The all-in price depends on the chosen features.
