Study finds wind power is saving lives and money

A recent study done by Lawrence Berkeley National Lab covering a 9-year period found that wind power in the United States is saving thousands of lives and also over $100 billion in health care costs, all by reducing pollution that causes espiratory diseases.

Using the EPA’s Avoided Emissions and geneRation Tool, the conductors of the study concluded that the growth of wind power has aided immensely to lower emissions of harmful pollutants.

The study was published by Nature Energy in August.
