In order to demonstrate that EVs are as comfortable to travel with as fossil fuel-powered vehicles, Wiebe Wakker is travelling from The Netherlands to Australia in an electric Volkswagen Golf. Without any money, entirely relying on the generosity of people who he is meeting along the way, he already travelled about 51,000 km in almost 600 days. Through his website, Plug Me In, he is looking for supports, i.e. places to recharge on food, energy and accomodation.
