Swedish power company Vattenfall is moving on with the development of one of their planned mammoth wind farms, the 1.8 gigawatt Norfolk Vanguard Offshore Wind Farm. It is expected to be completed and operational in the mid-2020s.
The sister project, the Norfolk Boreas, will be just as big, but for now, there are no news on that one. The Vanguard, however, will provide enough electrcitiy for 5 percent of UK households alone.
