Volkswagen Group and its partner city Hamburg forwarded a bid to host the 2021 ITS World Congress. Through a strategic mobility partnership which was concluded last year, they aim to enhance and shape the urban mobility of the future and to develop the city as a model for forward-looking, sustainable and integrated urban mobility. Hamburg wants to implement intelligent transport systems (ITS) to foster functional, modern and efficient transport system paired with consistent and reliable mobility, as they are crucial for the quality of life inside cities.
