Waymo, Alphabet Inc.’s self-driving car unit has recently announced that it is working on the development of self-driving trucks. In an effort to expand its reach in the autonomous driving industry, Waymo intends to work on the vehicles which can be driven autonomously over longer distance in the coming years. According to Waymo,”We’re taking our eight years of experience in building self-driving hardware and software and conducting a technical exploration into how our technology can integrate into a truck.”
