The London Taxi Company (LTC), with the help of funding by Chinese parent company Geely, held the opening ceremony for their new the Ansty plant, the new £300m electric vehicle manufacturing plant near Coventry. On the way to zero emission, LTC will build range-extended taxis there that will be sold all over the world. The first model, the TX5 hybrid black cab, will be available later in 2017.
