A new coalition of top auto manufacturers called Drive Sustainably has pledged to adhere to ethical standards for the sourcing of minerals and raw materials that are needed to increase electric vehicle production figures.
Drive Sustainability is composed of Daimler, Toyota Motor Europe, Volkswagen, Honda, Ford, BMW, Volvo Cars, Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo Trucks, and Scania, and, according to Reuters, will identify “and address ethical, environmental, human and labor rights issues in raw materials sourcing.”
