TransitScreen and Panasonic partnered to push forward efforts on smart city services. As TransitScreen makes real-time displays that show traffic, public transit and ridesharing options and Panasonic is able to provide the transportation information, the partnership seems profitable. Panasonic’s CityNOW platform, which is looking to develop smart city tech in a number of different areas could, in addition to the real-time multiscreen displays of TransitScreen boost displays that show arrival times, events and points of interst in public spaces. Testing round for the new technologies will be near Denver, where Panasonic is testing a multitude of smart city technologies and services.
