Alphabet’s self-driving startup, Waymo, and Uber are the leading companies in autonomous driving technology. Now Waymo has sued Uber because it blames Uber for stealing the autonomous driving technology. More precisely, Waymo assumes that Anthony Levandowski, who is a former Google employee now working for Uber, has downloaded 14000 files from its hardware systems, then resigned and used the information to launch a self-driving startup called “Otto”. Otto was acquired by Uber last year in August. Levandowski has become the director of all the self-driving efforts.
